We can debate this back and forth. I doubt we'll change each other's minds. So this will be my last word: the system isn't perfect,? but blaming teachers/firefighters/police isn't the answer. They provide much-needed services. If politicians had any real desire to serve, they'd help fix the system. They'd cut the pork, and help the ones who truly deserve it instead of placing blame and catering to the pundits and their donors. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. I wish you well.

I'm not sitting here telling you how to do your job and that you don't deserve your salary. But that's EXACTLY what Chris Christie is doing. Has he ever taught a room full of 40 public school kids? With 20 textbooks? I doubt it. He and other politicians need to remember that they, too, are public employees. Someday you may have kids, if? you don't already. Yes, teaching kids for 6 hours a day IS helping to raise them. And your parents helped pay for other kids' education, besides your own. Maybe you've never called 911, but it's there? if you need it. I attended the Ron Paul rally in Springfield, VA last Tuesday. The fire marshal had to close the front door because it was filled to capacity (1750). To be honest, it's hard to take hurricanes seriously when you've? lived in central Florida since the mid-80's, and so few of them have actually hit central Florida. Every year you see the local stations tracking them all through hurricane season, and the most we usually get are rain bands. Hurricane? *yawn* I guess I'll make a little ice and fill up the tub.

Florida is also basiclly a sandbar at sea level, so the storms don't get broken up much, and my original comment was just a joke anyway so I'm surprised that I'm still getting serious responses months later. @fartnessfury I'm not sure what you mean? by a fast moving storm, it takes days for a hurricane to make it up the coast, and it's says right in the video that it had been 60 years since a storm has hit there, so before modern tracking, so I don't know how you can claim that storms move faster up there. They also move over colder water before getting there, so have time to weaken. My dad actually lives in New Jersey and he said they didn't get hit by much.

@rexra Dumbass, the reason the tolls are charged one way instead of both is traffic. Manhattan would be even more? congested if they charged 6 bucks each way. Instead they charge 12 one way. I'm not from NJ, but when I lived in the tri state, I never went to Brooklyn. It's fucking dirty. Except for anything closest to manhattan. The rest is disgusting and smelly. I have quite a bit of respect for CC. He posses a rare honesty and is a gifted speaker. I am for gay marriage but was well aware of his position. His endorsement of Mitt sort of throws me off. Governor Romney raised taxes created a government? healthcare bureaucracy and signed employee contracts that assigned costs to later years. He also supported gay marriage then.
